About JaxHomeCareConnect — Local Home Care Matching in Jacksonville, FL

A local service built by a Jacksonville family, for Jacksonville families.

M&J

Meet Mirabela & Jason Coats

We didn't set out to start a business. We set out to find help for someone we loved.

When Jason's grandmother needed home care, we did what most families do — we Googled it. What followed was anything but helpful. National matching sites collected our information and passed it to what felt like every agency in Jacksonville. Our phones lit up for days. Nobody was actually helping us find the right fit. They were just passing our name along.

What we couldn't find was a local resource. Someone who actually knew Jacksonville and St. Augustine, had done the homework on local agencies, and would narrow it down to a few trusted options — not a flood of calls from strangers. So we built it.

Our service is completely free for families — always.

Mirabela Coats, Co-Founder

Mirabela has spent more than 14 years serving the same clients at a Jacksonville salon — the kind of long-term relationships that only happen when you genuinely care about people. Born in Romania, she moved to Jacksonville in 2004 and graduated from the inaugural class at the Aveda Institute in 2010.

With her own parents still living overseas, she knows the particular worry that comes with not being able to be there in person for the people you love. That experience is at the heart of everything we've built. As co-founder, she brings that same personal care to every family JaxHomeCareConnect serves.

Jason Coats, Co-Founder

Born and raised in Jacksonville, Jason has spent more than 20 years in financial services, focused on building systems and processes that help people navigate some of the most important decisions of their lives. Along the way, he developed a clear sense of what it looks like when institutions get it right — and when they fall short.

The idea for JaxHomeCareConnect grew from a personal place. Like many Jacksonville families, he faced the challenge of finding reliable home care for a loved one and discovered firsthand how broken that process can be.

Why We Built This

Jacksonville families deserve better than a Google search and a prayer. By combining operational discipline with genuine community focus, JaxHomeCareConnect gives families a faster, more confident path to care — and gives quality local agencies a smarter way to reach the families who need them.

We're not a national corporation. We're your neighbors. We met at the Jacksonville Landing, got married at the Jacksonville port, and we're raising our two kids right here. This community isn't a market to us — it's home.

How We Vet Agencies

Not just anyone gets into our network. Every agency must meet all of the following before we refer a single family to them:

We don't just list every agency we can find. We verify credentials, check the AHCA database, and only work with providers we'd trust with our own family members.

How the Business Model Works

Our service is free for families — and we want you to understand exactly how. When we match you with a home care agency and you choose to move forward with them, the agency pays us a referral fee. This is standard in the home care industry and does not affect the cost of your care in any way.

What this means for you:

Why We're Different from National Sites

Sites like Caring.com and A Place for Mom serve the entire country. That means when you submit your info, it often goes to whoever pays the highest bid — not the best agency for your situation. Your phone can ring off the hook from providers you've never heard of.

We do things differently. We focus exclusively on Northeast Florida. We know which agencies serve which neighborhoods, who specializes in Alzheimer's care vs. post-surgery recovery, and who has availability right now. You'll hear from 2–3 carefully matched agencies — not a dozen random ones.

Our Promise to You

Local to Northeast Florida

We're proud to serve families across the First Coast, including Jacksonville (Riverside, San Marco, Mandarin, Arlington, Southside, Westside), the Beaches (Jacksonville Beach, Neptune Beach, Atlantic Beach, Ponte Vedra), St. Augustine, St. Johns County (Nocatee, World Golf Village, Fruit Cove), Orange Park, Fleming Island, and surrounding communities.

If you or someone you love needs help finding the right home care, we're here for you. Fill out our care request form or 💬 text us at (904) 373-8256.
